This essential Dementia Awareness training course has been structured by GCC to raise awareness in how to recognise some different types of dementia, the memory and how it functions, adapting the environment and our communication to help support individuals, the importance of well being, and reporting and recording any changes to support clients to live fulfilling lives. This course is aimed at an awareness level for candidates with limited knowledge around dementia and links into the Care Certificate Standard 9 and is delivered by an approved trainer.
This course can be prepared in a way bespoke to your care setting should that be helpful.
On successful completion of the course you will receive an accredited certificate of attendance.
