An important refresher course for anyone working with clients with epilepsy and who has already attended an introduction course. Delivered by an experienced trainer this is the perfect follow up to the Epilepsy introduction course. This course will refresh your knowledge on what epilepsy is and the causes, how seizures are managed, and when to call an ambulance.
The programme covers:
- What is epilepsy?
- What are the causes?
- How should seizures be managed?
- Practical treatment – where possible, including practice of administering medication
- Risk and safety issues
- When to call an ambulance
- Buccal Midazolam
On completion of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance, which will be valid for two years.
