About this training course
Course duration: Introduction – 7 hours (this includes break time refreshments but please bring your own lunch). Refresher – 3.5 hours

This accredited food hygiene training is essential for anyone whose job involves the handling and / or preparation of food. In this interactive and busy course you will learn about how to safely store food, the principles of keeping a clean catering environment, temperature control of food, and how to safely reheat food. At the end of the session you will complete a short multiple choice quiz in order to gain your level 2 qualification.
You will gain knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
- Introduction to Food Safety
- Legislation
- Food Safety hazards
- Temperature control
- Refrigeration
- Chilling and cold storage
- Cooking
- Storing and reheating hot food
- Food handling
- Principles of safe food
- Storage and cleaning
- Food premises and equipment
Participants are required to bring photo ID with them, e.g. passport or driving licence.
